Assessment fees
Choose a time that suits you.

Your fee comes off your course.

On the day
What happens in the hour.
We are not looking for what the behaviour looks like. We are looking for where it comes from, because that is the only thing that gives you a result that lasts.
Your dog’s history
We ask a detailed series of questions about the time you have spent together, so we understand where your relationship is now and where any problem behaviours began.
Practical work
You carry out some practical exercises with your dog in a calm, controlled space. This shows us how the two of you communicate, and where that breaks down.
Your written report
You receive a full report of everything you and your trainer discussed, with a recommended programme and its exact cost. No obligation to book.

An in depth look at your dog, the relationship you have now, and your training goals. Many people come to us wanting to fix one problem. We help you look past that, back to the dog you imagined when you first brought them home.

What to bring
The equipment you normally walk your dog on. We want to see you both as you really are day to day.
We may ask you to remove something
Some aids, like a head collar or certain training leads, can mask a behaviour. If so, we may ask you to take it off so we can see what is underneath.
How long it takes
Around an hour. Allow a few minutes either side so nobody feels rushed.
Bringing more than one dog
Each dog is assessed individually. Book them together and you pay £75 for two, or £100 for three.
The 30 day credit
Book a programme within 30 days and we deduct £50 for your first dog and £25 for each additional dog from your course price.
No pressure to book
You leave with a written recommendation and the exact cost. What you do next is entirely your decision.

Frequently asked questions
How much does the assessment cost?
£50 for one dog, £75 for two dogs and £100 for three dogs.
Do I get the fee back if I book training?
Yes. If you book a training programme within 30 days of your assessment, we deduct £50 for your first dog and £25 for each additional dog from the course price. In practice, that means the assessment costs you nothing if you go on to train with us.
Which centres can I book at?
Our Tingley centre, between Leeds and Wakefield, and our Sheffield centre at High Hazels Park. Choose your centre in the booking form.
My dog is under five months old. Which assessment do I need?
Book as normal. Your trainer will run our puppy raising and training assessment instead of the behaviour assessment. The price is the same.
What happens after the assessment?
You receive a full written report of everything you discussed, along with our recommended training programme and its cost. There is no obligation to book.
